BIG STICK, BURNING RUBBER (OLD SCHOOL)This features music recorded by BIG STICK, as well as nostalgia, old school drag racing video images shot by them too. It’s a collection of some genuinely rambunctious drag strip imagery. There’s funny cars, front engined dragsters, altereds, wheelstanders, gassers and more! All the action comes from Old Bridge Township Raceway Park’s yearly “Old Time Drag & Funny Car Reunion” event. One of BIG STICK’S side projects is a thing called the Drag Racing Underground, much of the footage here can be seen on their “Funny Car Reunion Raw” dvd released under the Drag Racing Underground moniker. It’s no secret that BIG STICK are fans of drag racing, and this video is definitive proof of that. It’s certainly a wild scene at the drag strip, baby!! Funny-Car Fires

Before asking why is it funny please read this.The car is a Funny-Car. In drag racing there are different classes of cars one of which is Funny-Car so named because in the early days the cars were made from stock looking cars but the rear wheels were moved forward which made them look “funny”. The term “funny car” was just away of describing the class these cars compeated in, it has since become the official name for the class.
