*** 6/30/08 UPDATE: A lot of people continue to ask how I shot this because the sound is so cool. I used a Fujifilm FinePix S9000 DSLR camera, no attachments/upgrades or enhancements to the sound whatsoever. Just using the on-board microphone as shipped, and did not do any baffling or other method of sound manipulation. Also did no editing to the video whatsoever. Just a lucky catch I guess!

I’ve seen these cars live many times for a lot of years. It never gets old. Feeling the body rush when a pair of nitro cars go down the track is almost better than sex. I cranked this vid through my surround system and it’s the next best thing to being there. It actually shook the floor. Good job.

I’ve been to over 30 NHRA races since I was little and this video captures the sound better than anything I’ve seen online before. Amazing. This sounds just like it does in real life (except obviously not quite as earth-shattering). All of my videos sound thin and puny but this really captures it!!!!!
