They played a angle of the race from the far end of the track once .. just once.
When it comes to racing at the Texas Motorplex if you want complete coverage do not buy a ticket you are better off at home.
I had to make phone calls to know what took place concerning this accident… and they knew more than the spectators at the track… does that seem appropriate?

I didnt say full height barriers… Im sure they could design a smaller/shorter version of the SAFER barriers to adapt to NHRA. Just something tall enough to keep the cars from crossing into the other lane should control be lost.

trentc32 you have got alot of nerve for your comment, 1st off it wasnt kenny’s fault it was just a bad racing accident, 2nd the timing cone did get hit, but it didnt hit john’s car enough to cause john’s car to blow its tire, it was the tire itself that was the cause of the crash,and the tire blew seconds after it passed the cones and the finish line

That is crazy, John’s car split in half and the damm front half of the car WITH THE ENGINE is rollin’ down the track!! Dayamm!! I was hearing that NHRA was designing these cars to break apart like that but I think NHRA should design them cars to STAY IN ONE PIECE, only thang coming apart should be the fiberglass body!

Kenny hitting the cones and John’s crash were unconnected. John had a tire come apart on the OPPOSITE side of the car from Kenny. At those speeds, there is no possible way the block could have gotten to that side of the car. In other super slo-mo replays, the block clearly passes behind John’s car. The only thing Kenny hitting the blocks did, was give John the win.

It looks like the …
It looks like the timing cone punched a hole in the fiberglass body shattering it and a jagged piece of fiberglass sliced into the tire.

It looks like something similar to what happened with the space shuttle when a piece of foam hit the wing.

Kenny must have been terrified when he saw the front tire chassis rolling past him. The grinding sound it makes is chilling as it gets close to the camera.

John is going to have a long recovery to heal from this horrific wreck.
