		<description>In the quarter mile, lowering the Viper will not help enough to offset the cost of doing this.  By lowering a Viper, you will need to have the camber and caster reset, and your bump-steer will be adversely affected.  By stiffening the springs in the rear, and changing the shocks to increase the compression and decrease the rebound, the car will come off the line and hook up quicker, but your street driving will then be adversely affected.  If you plan to drive this car on the street and still drag race, you will have to come up with a compromise of the two types of driving. 		<description>Soft front springs that allow the front of the viper sit lower store energy that will help with the launch. The leverage set up by the rear tires will slowly lift the front end applying the weight to the rear wheels for good 60 ft times. Stiff springs wont let the weight transfer to the rear smoothly and keep it there..

Additionally the lower front stance increases aerodynamics by reducing the amount of air that can pass under the car because the underside is an aerodynamic disaster.
