While the Vayron has lost the top speed record, it still has the acceleration records, so I believe the performance diferences between the SSC Aero and Veyron comes down to the gear ratios.
That said I personally dislike both, as I find them ugly.

hard pushed to breath.Coupled with this,the gas the nitro-methane fuel emits is TEAR GAS,literally! When they set off,there is a shock wave of air that engulfs and shakes your body.
