be beefed up to handle the big horsepower…

There are numerous reasons why drag racers use Powerglides. One of the main reasons is that there is only one shift, therefore the car is usually more consistent with the 'glide. They have less parasitic horsepower loss than almost any other auto tranny. The design is very simple and seasoned racers can rebuild a tranny in under an hour. They are reliable due to the fact that there is simply less parts to break in a Powerglide. Most racers use solenoid activated shifters, they set the shift rpm based on the peak rpm of the motor, gearing, tire size, etc. MPH does not matter.

I suggest you seeing a Psychologist and/or a Psychiatrist. I don’t think that just therapy is enough. Your description sounds similar to schizophrenia, but not entirely on the dot. You may have more than one mental disorder. (E.g. ADHD often goes with Bipolar Disorder). I’m no Psychologist so I can’t diagnose you.

I just want to tell you that you aren’t crazy, and you aren’t any less of a person if you do have more than one diagnosis. You do need to get some help so you can stop hurting yourself, maybe more help than just a therapist. Good luck, and I hope I helped at all.

the tire probably damaged the cv joint boot,,check it and see if it loosing grease,,also check for any pieces of the tire that may be hung in the fender somewhere,,otherwise,,if it wasn’t doing this before,,and you don’t find any of these it might be a good idea to take it to a good mechanic to have it checked out really good.

By all means, NO! Safety rules have been tested and changed before. It may bring the over all speed down some until something else gets looked into, tested, and changed again. Thank you, Team Force, for doing this.

You have to understand, they are only used with very high horsepower engines. Where a small engine needs gears to multiply the torque, a large engine doesn’t need any gears. they use the torque converter to do most of the work and absorb the extra power, so they really don’t need all those gears and you only have to shift once. They are simple and tough.

Did you know a top fuel dragster is a single speed and they use a multiplate clutch to adsorb the extra power. hope this helps

the tire is to big and it is rubbing the fender, look on the tire for the size and # and compare them with the other tire #.

JFR only tested some safety equipment. They were trying shake the tires so the setups they were using were actual setups they used when they had to abort runs. The car was not recreating the tire shake condition, Thats what he was talking about.

If you had a blow out, it could have damage the inside of the fender, look for something hanging, or you might have put too big a tire on it.

YOU HAVE TO SEE A DOCTOR AND TALK TO YOU THERAPIST, they have medication for this disease (I'm pretty sure) and it may help you a lot. You should be able to be the best you can be and not have to worry about hearing screaming or something like that. They don't have asylums anymore they just have hospitals where you stay for a few months and help you get over your illness.
