A video demonstrating the power and excitement of the NHRADo you think the pending safety rules in NHRA will hurt the sport?
With the Foce team, NHRA, and all the other sponsors in the sport working on new safety rules for the drivers and cars, How much will this change the sport and current speeds. Force proved last night that the car has speed issues but how much will it hurt the overall field?
I’m fully support the new rules, just wondering how much it will effect speeds and the weight of the cars.
By all means, NO! Safety rules have been tested and changed before. It may bring the over all speed down some until something else gets looked into, tested, and changed again.

How does anyone feel about the new 1000 foot rule in NHRA?
I think it is a knee-jerk reaction to what happened to Scott. I’m all for driver safety, but this seems akin to a publicity stunt. If they want real results, then they should apply real pressure were it is needed. Mandating longer run-offs for all NHRA tracks would be one heck of a start. And the tracks that don’t comply, loss their sanctioning.
NHRA Fan Dies By Tire
An NHRA fan was killed after Antron Brown’s dragster crashed. The NHRA dragster appears to malfunction in the video; it seems the rear left wheel of Antron’s dragster broke off, causing the accident, rather than http://www.sodahead.com/sports/nhra-fan-killed-in-antron-brown-crash-should-her-family-sue/question-881141/ the tire breaking off as a result of a crash. The female fan that was hit was airlifted to a hospital, but later died.

I have a 914 with a v8, I want to run it at the track, but the rules state that a convertible must have a roll cage if it is faster than 13.49 sec in a quarter mile. Is a car that has a targa top considered a convertible by NHRA standards
